Specialist Behaviour Support for NDIS participants across Melbourne and surrounding areas.
Complex Connect is a registered NDIS provider for Specialist Positive Behaviour Support.
We are currently establishing our Behaviour Support team and accepting enquiries for upcoming availability.
We’re currently accepting expressions of interest for upcoming NDIS Positive Behaviour Support availability. Service areas will depend on practitioner availability and participant location.
Positive Behaviour Support seeks to understand why behaviours of concern occur and what a person may be communicating through their behaviour. We consider the person, their environment, relationships, experiences and individual support needs.
A Functional Behaviour Assessment helps identify the purpose or function of behaviours of concern, including factors that may trigger or maintain them. This assessment informs practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to the individual.
Behaviour Support Plans provide clear strategies for participants, families and support teams. Plans focus on improving quality of life, building skills and creating environments that better support the person's needs.
Where required, an Interim Behaviour Support Plan can provide immediate strategies to support safety while a more comprehensive assessment and Behaviour Support Plan are being developed.
Positive Behaviour Support aims to reduce and, wherever possible, eliminate the use of restrictive practices by understanding behaviour and developing proactive, person-centred alternatives.
